Saklıkent National Park
Saklıkent National Park, located in southwestern Turkey, is a stunning natural reserve known for its deep and narrow gorge formed through the mountains by the flowing waters of the Karaçay River.
The park offers a dramatic and rugged landscape that is ideal for adventurous activities such as hiking, river tubing, and exploring hidden waterfalls.
You can walk through the gorge on suspended wooden platforms, which provide a thrilling experience as the cold water rushes beneath them.
The park also serves as a cool refuge from the summer heat, drawing nature lovers and thrill-seekers alike.
If you get the chance to get there, say Hi to Nesibe and taste their home made baklavas:
Ölüdeniz Valley
Ölüdeniz is a small village and beach resort in the Fethiye district on the Turquoise Coast of southwestern Turkey.
It is renowned for its secluded sandy bay at the confluence of the Aegean and Mediterranean seas, and its blue lagoon, Ölüdeniz Tabiat Parkı, which is a national nature reserve famous for its turquoise waters surrounded by a beautiful pine forest.
The valley is not only a paradise for sunbathers but also a world-famous spot for paragliding due to its unique panoramic views, and stable weather conditions, offering a breathtaking experience flying over the stunning lagoon.
Olympos Ancient City
The ancient city of Olympos, located in the Antalya region of Turkey, is one of the most intriguing historical sites along the Turkish Riviera.
Dating back to the Hellenistic period, Olympos was once a thriving city and part of the Lycian League. Today, it is a captivating archaeological site,
enveloped by a dense forest and flanked by a beautiful beach. Visitors can explore the ruins that include a theater, temple remains, and elaborately carved tombs,
offering a glimpse into the past civilizations that once populated the area.
The city is also famous for the nearby natural phenomenon, the eternal flames of the Chimaera,
which have been burning for thousands of years due to natural gas seepages.
Be aware that around this area, the landscape is much more hilly then near Fethiye.
