Parnu Bay
A popular summer destination, Pärnu Bay boasts sandy beaches that stretch as far as the eye can see. The bay’s shallow waters make it ideal for families, while its vibrant promenade, lined with cafes and restaurants, adds a touch of modernity to the natural setting.
The bay is characterized by its long, sandy beaches that stretch for miles. The soft golden sands, combined with the shallow and warm waters of the bay, make it an ideal spot for sunbathing, swimming, and building sandcastles.
The dunes, adorned with tufts of beach grass, add to the bay’s picturesque setting, especially during sunrise and sunset when the sky is painted in hues of orange, pink, and purple.
Pärnu, the city adjoining the bay, is steeped in history and culture. The city’s promenade, which runs parallel to the beach, is dotted with sculptures, cafes, and historical buildings.
Learnt during my Parnu Stay
I was having dinner from the perspective of the last picture and I talked to the bar owner.
We were discussing the Estonian culture and he told me that the Estonian people are very proud of their country and their culture.
They are very patriotic and they love their country. They are very proud of their history and their culture.
Also, I asked about how under his impression the country is developing in the recent years.
He told me that the country is developing very fast and that the people are very happy with the development.
Quite interestingly, Parnu is the place where e-Residency companies are registered. I was not aware of that before.
Also I mentioned that I wanted to see the Lahemaa National Park near Tallinn (if my legs allow) - And he told me a story on how that place was used to make alcohol from potatoes while considered iligal by the authorities.
At this point I was already 4 days into my Bike Packing Trip through the Baltics.
I had plenty of time to think as I was rolling through the fields and to fill few more ideas / open questions:
How to Do the Most of Bike Packing?
I started this blog to share my experiences and tips. Now also Open Questions that Ive been wondering.
