Krakow to Czestochowa by Bike: A route through Orlich

Krakow to Ojcowski Park
Krakow is one has one of the most beautiful city centers among Polish cities.
But there are more things to discover if you decide to visit it.
Not far from the city, at around 15km you can have a tour around the Ojcowski National Park
You will need to go a little bit up hills, but the road is in good condition (asphalt or well compacted sand):

This is how it looked on a cloudy early spring day. Imagine how great it can be during summer.
The Bledow Desert
If you continue direction North-West, towards Orlich National Park / Czestochowa, you will find this interesting spot:
A Desert in the midle of Poland? Sounds also interesting to me.
As you can imagine, the Błędów Desert is primarily a result of human impact on the environment rather than natural desertification processes.
Historically, the area was forested, but the trees were cleared during medieval times for mining and metallurgical activities.
Additionally, military activities in the area during the 20th century contributed to the desertification by further disturbing the soil and preventing vegetation from stabilizing the sand.

After charging batteries for some time, we continued towards the Eagles’ Nests Landscape Park.
