Cycling Through Europe - 2024 Update

This is the Story that many of you asked.

Its been already: Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary.

These are the countries in Europe that I have joined with several bike rides / bikepacking trips.

Whenever I travel, I try to rent a bike and explore interesting places in that way.

For example Turkey, Portugal… I categorize them under the adventure tag

What I’ve learnt this year

Cycling Through Europe Journey

This year 2024 has not been my greatest connection with the bicycles.

Definitely it started slower than 2023 (where the 1st of Jan I already made around 60km).

But interesting things have been going on during this year.

Learnt During 2024

  1. To not trust Flixbus to take your bicycle back.

  2. How good is to feel motivated to do more when you meet people that achieve much higher goals

what do I mean with that one?

During my way to Vilnus, I met a French guy who was doing the opposite trip to me.

Just that he started in France during summer 2024, and was on his way to Poland and then towars Croatia and then Greece.

All of that during the same year.

I follow him and by this time he already made it to Greece.

Same feeling happened when I had very interesting conversations about RE with a friends of a friend who lived in the UK.

  1. Realizing the importance of proper marketing, leads and offers.

Be prepared for questions like What’s the catch?

That means that your offer is quite unusual in the market, great start!

Then, its all about building trust.

From my perspective, a business cant be profitable if the clients are not satisfied with the results.

Providing there is no violence in between, ofc.

Bike Shed…? Its just keeping doing unimportant things, just because we know how to do them. There is always the risk of failure when trying sth new

  1. Many people thinks (and might have an audience) - They just dont know how to use It
  1. How important is attention and how low we are giving its importance. Our context window is not infinite.

  1. Could not be happier that I started journaling few years ago. Can feel the difference already with the beginnings.

Trying to show my work and motivate others to do so should not be an impediment to read at least 1 book a month.
